Connecting Your GoDaddy Domain

to Your Ms International Texas Website

⚠️ Prerequisite: You need a Builder plan or higher to connect a custom domain.

Step 1 — Add Your Domain in Base44

  1. Open your app editor
  2. Click Dashboard (top menu)
  3. Click Domains
  4. Click Connect existing domain
  5. Enter your domain name (e.g., missinternationaltexaspageant.com)
  6. Click Add

Step 2 — Configure DNS at GoDaddy

  1. Log into your GoDaddy account at godaddy.com
  2. Go to My Products → find your domain → click DNS
  3. In the DNS Management page, add or edit the records below:

Record 1 — Root Domain (the bare domain)

Example: missinternationaltexaspageant.com

Record 2 — WWW Subdomain

Example: www.missinternationaltexaspageant.com

⚠️ Important Cleanup Steps:

  • Remove any AAAA (IPv6) records — they can block the connection.
  • Remove any conflicting CAA records.
  • If there's an existing A record pointing elsewhere, edit it to point to 216.24.57.1 (don't create a duplicate).
  • If there's an existing CNAME for www, edit it to point to base44.onrender.com.

Step 3 — Verify Your Domain

  1. Go back to your Base44 Dashboard → Domains
  2. Click Verify next to your domain
  3. Wait for verification — DNS propagation can take up to 48–72 hours (often much faster)
  4. Once verified, Base44 automatically issues and renews your SSL certificate — no extra setup needed!

Troubleshooting

  • Not verifying yet? DNS changes take time. Check propagation at whatsmydns.net — type in your domain, select A record, and see if it's showing 216.24.57.1 around the world.
  • Using Cloudflare? Set Base44-related records to DNS only (grey cloud) during setup, then switch to proxied (orange cloud) after verification if desired.
